Oat Groats, grown on Underwood Farm by Mike and Richard Rogers

Grown in Totnes Oat Groats have been grown on Mike and Richard Rogers’ Farm, Underwood, at Beeson, on the South Hams coast. The only thing which we’ve done to the grain is to polish it at our processing premises on the Totnes Industrial Estate. It has travelled no more than 30 miles during its entire life journey to reach you.
Oat Groats are the whole oat grain and make an ideal replacement to rice in risottos; they are also a nice grain in their own right. Soaking the grain will reduce the length of cooking required.

We would love to receive photos and recipes of any tasty creations that you come up with and to receive your feedback. For inspiration keep an eye on our evolving recipe page, where your recipes could feature to inspire others.

Consume within 6 months of purchase, oats are high in oil and will become rancid if kept for longer periods.
